We believe that choosing a summer camp is one of the most meaningful decisions a family can make, and we never take that trust lightly. Every year, our team hits the road to visit both prospective and returning camp families across the country. We even make it internationally some years! These visits are a chance for your family to ask questions, get to know our team, and get a real sense of who we are before your child ever sets foot at camp. We want you to feel confident and excited, not just on opening day, but from the very first conversation.

Off-season reunions are another way we stay connected as a community throughout the year. When camp ends, the friendships do not. Reunions bring together campers, families, and staff in cities across the country, giving everyone a chance to reconnect, relive memories, and count down the days until summer. They are also a wonderful opportunity for prospective families to meet current camp families and hear firsthand what the Camp Thunderbird experience means to them.
